About 15 years ago in Nashville during the Americana music conference, I saw Charlie Louvin play with his band. It was great to get to see him and hear him and and I was thrilled to meet him and talked a bit and I told him I was in a harmony duo and played Mando and we had good harmonies, but weren’t brothers and then he said, “what’s your name?” I told him my name is Bill Kelly and he said “can you play guitar too?” I said, yeah. And then he turned around and called to his guitar player “hey Bill, this guy’s name is Bill Kelly too, if you die, he can do the gig!”
