For Fun Friday!
Here at WireDaddy - Fun with ALL things cars is a priority! I had a vision about a year ago to convert a set of Arcade Cabinets into Sim Racers - and it turned out cooler than I could have imagined!
Everything was done in-house! From the Vinyl Wrap, to Redoing the Floors, New 27in LED Monitors Retrofit, C6 ZO6 Seats with Working Power on the Driver's side πͺ, Logitech G29 Wheel, Pedals, Shifter, Custom Mounts for Everything, Custom Metal Plasma Cut Dashes with Buttons and Keypad for Game Interface, Integrated Mouse Pads, Cup Holders with Phone Chargers!, Underglow!, and some powerhouse Lenovos to keep these things running strong!
Special thanks to for his welding and plasma cutting prowess! All of the metal working, welding, and bracketry would not have been possible without him! He helped me bring all of my designs from CAD to real life!
I've got some big future development plans for these machines - but for now, they both work, look pretty sweet, and are TONS of fun for a pizza party! π π₯³
Hope everyone has a great weekend! We'll be racing with SASCA! Cheers! πππ₯

ProSolo was an absolute blast this weekend! My first time to a BIG SCCA Event to compete! The competition was thick, my competitors were fast AF, and the dynamic with running the tree, launching the car full beans right next to someone else, and putting together good, clean runs on two courses made this event my most challenging yet!
I had a blast this weekend and for my first BIG SCCA event -
I placed 17th out of 21 in S1 class.
Overall I was pretty happy with both courses last runs . The car feels the best it ever has with recent setup changes and it excites me to know that there are still things myself and the car can improve on! If you have a moment take a Joyride with me! Cheers! π€

Competition Weekend! ProSolo is upon us. My 1st time to National Competition! And it's an autocross with a Drag race start! Excited to see how the new setup changes feel.
Hopefully you don't cringe too bad at the corner weighting π
this thing needs to be corner balanced so bad. 2509lb with a Full Tank of Gas without me in it - heavy for a Honda but light in comparison to other stuff!
Goodluck to all my competitors and may the best, fast man win! Cheers!

Transmission Tuesday Today!
Got the 51' Willy's back after it had some issues shifting firmly, and not wanting to shift out of 1st gear. Boy have I learned alot about 700r4's today!
700r4's have 2 main components that affect the shift strategy -
#1 - A governor assembly with weights and valves similar to a distributor in its own transmission-ee way. Weights spin and open valves once they reach a certain rpm due to the weight to affect shifting.
#2 - The TV or kickdown cable which helps the transmission understand throttle position.
Unfortunately due to the location of the exhaust - R.I.P. TV Cable.
The TV cable had melted on the Willy's causing the truck to shift around 4500rpm-5000rpm going between any gears. When the cable melted - it actually held the transmission at a full throttle reference position for the TV cable - thus the high shift points - because when you are full throttle you want the power and RPMs!
Exhaust wrap, heat shield, and a new TV cable and she should be back on the road short shifting and cruising nicely!
Hit Daddy up for all your diagnostics!
