Shavuos Tips!
1. Go for a walk, like a real walk. Like 30 minutes that will help you feel healthy which will make you want to eat healthy. I always find on yuntif you can end up sitting around and just constantly looking for food so just getting out will help you tremendously.
2. Make yourself a delicious iced tea- apple cinnamon, tazo passion fruit, any tea you can make with Swerve or monk fruit! So good!
3. Have lots of roasted vegetables around, that will save you! Roasted mushrooms, cauliflower, broccoli, eggplant.
4. If you would normally take breakfast, I would. Not a must, sometimes people prefer 2 bigger meals. Better to eat 3 meals a day and space out your food. Breakfast, I would have a yogurt, hard boiled eggs, protein shake, chia seed pudding.
5. Snacks for in between- healthy compote, healthy cheesecake recipe, healthy peanut butter cookies, fruits, salads, cucumber salad, soups, etc.
6. Take gum or sugar free candy to suck on.

And I promise — it has nothing to do with willpower.
1. Skipping meals.
I’ll go as far as to say this is one of THE biggest reasons obesity exists. People don’t eat all day… and come home absolutely STARVING. Cue a night full of eating. 🌙
2. Little bites.
Those sneaky little tastes and snacks add up more than you think. 👀
3. Leaving the house without food.
Cheese stick, chicken, turkey breast, a fruit, a veggie — bring SOMETHING. You think your errands will take 20 minutes. They never do. And by the time you’re home? You’re ravenous. 🚗
4. Sugar in your coffee.
I have clients who tell me they truly cannot give it up — and that’s okay! Start small. Go from 2 tbsp down to 1. Your taste buds adjust faster than you think, I promise. ☕
5. Taking too much of the “allowed” foods.
Yes, I allow carbs on my plans. But if you know that half a baked potato isn’t realistic for you right now… it’s okay to skip it. Know yourself, Don’t test yourself. 🥔

The thing with having kids is that they are totally unpredictable.
If they aren’t feeling well, you could have a very hard day! They are also the cutest things ever.
Yet sometimes the unpredictability can make you feel super overwhelmed and can lead to eating foods that maybe weren’t what you had in mind.
& that is totally normal and ok.
I never know if my kids are sick, won’t drink the bottle, won’t nap.. oh wait Estee woke them up from their nap.
When the overwhelm of life gets to you.. I would try to follow these 3 tips to stay on track.
1. Don’t let that all or nothing mindset get to you, ok so you had a cookie. Dinner should still be a protein with vegetable.
2. Choose healthier options, have 3 go to options you plan to take. Protein shake, dark chocolate, smoothies.
3. Focus on 1 or 2 things that will make you feel good about your day. They can be super small. I just want to workout for 15 minutes or maybe today I want to have a healthy clean lunch that I feel good about.
