Southeast Sustainability Directors Network (SSDN) - Connecting local government sustainability professionals throughout the region to accelerate, scale, and implement best practices so that communities are equipped to adapt to and mitigate climate impacts.

Tampa this week - at the 2026 SSDN Annual Meeting.
Mayor and SSDN Executive Director Rob Phocas opened with a strong picture of regional sustainability leadership in practice.
The Mayor highlighted Tampa’s commitments - desalination, green infrastructure, energy and greening initiatives, and the ongoing work of engaging stakeholders and building bridges with communities. Rob laid out how SSDN is supporting sustainability directors across the southeast, connecting cities and sharing what’s working.
Proud to be a Supporter-level sponsor of this year’s gathering. Grateful to everyone who stopped by our booth Monday and Tuesday for honest conversations about what’s working in action plan implementation - and where cities could use a hand.

We are thrilled to announce Cloudsyte's new research and deployment partnership with the University of Michigan School of Information.
As part of this collaboration, we are working directly with five forward-thinking municipalities: Detroit, Kalamazoo, Sterling Heights, Royal Oak, and East Lansing. Our goal is to evaluate and strengthen the day-to-day workflows local government teams use to execute their sustainability, adaptation, and resilience plans.
By bridging academic research with real-world municipal delivery, we are making it easier for cities to turn 200-page strategy documents into structured, verifiable progress.
