We take far too many things for granted, as luxuries, that could actually be critical tools for improved well-being. Play, movement, ....massage.

I was reminded of this yesterday when I had a massage done by Daniëlle Schrijver .

A while back, I had done some trade work with Danielle, taking photos for the studio in exchange for some sessions. I was honestly so affected by the work I had both with Danielle and another therapist there, Karol, that I ended up scheduling more paid sessions.

There is an undescribable transformation that comes after a good massage. I'm not just talking about the gentle, put you to sleep type ones, which are also nice.

I'm talking about a session where you feel heard, where you feel witnessed, and where you feel held and touched by someone who is deeply knowledgeable and equally empathetic. What comes from sessions like that is profound, something I can't quite describe because doing so would lessen its impact.

All I can say for now is that I highly recommend booking a session with Danielle, and or a session at The New Narrative Massage .

Especially as we age, we discover that well-being is not something that we can nor should take as a luxury. Don't wait to care for yourself, and invite others in who can help.

Today's bubble walk was fun and so uplifting! Multiple people smiled, laughed, and shared comments about loving the bubbles as we walked downtown.

Thank you, for joining me today and creating joy!

This will definitely happen again so be sure to follow for upcoming dates 🫧❤️🫧

Today! 4:00.

Walkin' and blowin' bubbles for 30-34 minutes.... because movement and play are some of the best things you can do for yourself right now.

See you at the Sample Gates?!?!

(BYOBubbles if you have them - but I'll also have some to share!)

I listened to a video that Elise Myers posted today. She mentioned feeling, "homesick for myself". Lonely. And I think a lot of this are feeling that these days.

But for those of us introverts, those of us who often choose to stay home because it is FAR more comfy,...

For those of us who stumble out of bed to the tired push of life into one more morning of coffee and one more email, but not so much the delightful pull of desire and curiosity and what ifs ...

It can be quite overwhelming to deal with that loneliness and have the energy to explore the homesickness.

That's one reason I'm creating these small events.

One tiny yes.

One person doing it can seem crazy. Two people doing it is an invitation. Three is an unignorable call.

Join us for one or both of these (with more to come). No judgments, just exhales and whimsy.

[If you are on FB, head to to find the FB events & join...or comment here and let me know you'll be there!.]

🫧BUBBLE WALK🫧

THIS Sunday (6/9/2026), 4:00 pm - approx 4:45 pm. Bloomington, IN....meet at the Sample Gates.

Why?
🎈BECAUSE we NEED more whimsy in life.
🎈Because it has been a long week.
🎈Because sometimes you need a reason/excuse to break the routines and just do something weird.
🎈Because BUBBLES.

We're going to start at the Sample Gates and saunter down Kirkwood, possibly around the square, and then back to the Sample Gates.

Along the way, we'll blow bubbles. We'll blow bubbles for our own enjoyment and for the delight of anyone else who also might be out and about.

I'll have a few extra bubble bottles, but please bring your own if you have them.

All ages welcome (parents responsible for your kiddos, please and thank you). Adults especially encouraged.

Questions? Comment below.

There are SO many more photos representing the emotionally moving and heartwarming moments from the Indy Pride parade last week. It was difficult choosing just a few to put on social media. Feel free to tag yourself or your organization in the photos.

You can also go to the link in the comments to view the whole album and download the photos you'd like! (*Please use for PERSONAL USE ONLY, and I'd love if you tag so I can see where they wind up! Businesses and organizations that would like to use photos: please message me to inquire about usage)

THANK YOU to all of the volunteers, parade participants, and attendees for an experience that (no joke) left me in happy tears.

I don't just talk about play as something to make us feel good.

I encourage play to being forth (and work with) what a friend and I discussed today as "ancestral rage".

Today Elon Musk become the world's first trillionaire - while the average American family has lost $3100 since Trump's second term (due to additional spending on groceries, household needs, etc). (See Aaron Parnas' post for more info) Not to mention homelessness, starvation, ...racism, patriarchy, hatred toward LGBTQ+, etc.

Play is *thinking creatively*. It's a way of not losing our f'in minds at this information, but also a way of being with it so we don't stuff it down and ignore it.

Play is a way of exploring what might be possible to fix this horrifically toxic system (or systems), starting the only way you can: with your own mind and actions.

Play ain't just pretty. It's a priority we need to recognize.
