Scott Walker Farewell Gathering

On Sunday, October 13, at 2 pm in Avondale Park in Birmingham, there will be a gathering near the stage of folks who want to bid farewell to Scotty P. Anyone who attends will be welcome to say a few words, but no one is being compelled to talk. We will not be setting up a PA, but acoustic instruments are welcome if anyone wants to play a song or two in Scott's honor.
After the speaking and singing, we will release Scott's ashes in the park, probably in the area up behind the stage. I know that some of you will not be able to attend, but I am inviting you to send me something you’d like have read there with the promise that I will read it.
For those who want to join us, some of us are planning to have a late lunch/early dinner after spreading Scott's ashes. Thanks very much, and I look forward to seeing you on the 13th. BTW, that will be Scott's 69th birthday. Happy birthday, sweet P-head ❤️
