Excerpt from "Herbal Medicine, Healing & Cancer" by Donald Yance.
"Measurements in human and animal tissues have shown that enzyme systems are adversely affected by pesticides even at very low concentrations. There is no safe lower limit of dosage. Pesticide exposure will eventually result in illness. Preventative interventions must be taken now without waiting any longer for full scientific proof of the magnitude of the long-term effects."
When people ask, "Why should I eat organic when it is more expensive", or a similar question, The argument for organic is pesticide free and GMO free. Whereas, the argument for non-organic seems to be that there is not enough evidence that it is harmful.
When it comes to the health of our bodies, why take an innocent until proven guilty approach? By then it could be too late to reverse the damage. Depending where you source your information, there is in fact, valid research proving the ill-effects of inorganic foods. It is just not main stream because there is a lot of money invested to show us otherwise.
Some important differences between Organic and Conventional produce. Is Organic really healthier, and more nutrient rich? Well this study shows some evidence.
