Today Phoebe turns 13.

She has walked more beaches, climbed more rocks, and sniffed more things than any dog I know. She has been steady, sweet, and endlessly patient - with every dog who has come through our home, and with us.

She is slowing down just a little. But don't tell her that - she hasn't noticed.
