UPP Liquids Celebrates Scott Elnes with Limited-Release “Peach Runner IPA” During Singalong Brothers Farewell Event

BEND, Ore. — UPP Liquids will celebrate longtime Central Oregon morning news anchor and meteorologist Scott Elnes with a special, one-night-only beer release during The Singalong Brothers farewell event on Friday evening.

Crafted by award-winning brewer and community leader Tonya Cornett of UPP Liquids, the limited-release Peach Runner IPA is a playful nod to a moment viewers have come to recognize from Elnes’ on-air style — his familiar callout of a “red light with a runner” captured on street cameras during Good Morning Central Oregon. Known affectionately to viewers as “WeatherDork,” Elnes has built a strong connection with the Central Oregon community through his approachable, lighthearted morning forecasts.

Peach Runner IPA features juicy peach character layered over a juicy, hop-forward IPA backbone, delivering a bright, approachable beer designed for celebration and community gathering.

“Creating this beer felt like the perfect intersection of craft, community, and personality,” said Cornett. “Scott has been part of people’s mornings for years, and this was a chance to reflect that same warmth and humor in a beer meant to be shared together.”

The beer will be available exclusively at UPP Liquids during The Singalong Brothers event on Friday night from 5:00–9:00 p.m., while supplies last.

The event serves as a community send-off for Elnes, who is departing Central Oregon to begin a new chapter with The Weather Channel. The evening will feature live singalong music, friends, and collaborators from across the region.
