Boundless Farmstead

The time of day when its just me and the sweet pups and the waking robins and the owls heading towards rest.

The time of day when even the colors are starting to wake up. Every hue a little muted, sleepy. Just warming up to their vibrant selves.

Then the fire in the sky starts. Perhaps to warm the day's hearth. Or the world's first cup of tea.

It feels good to wake with the earth; slowly at first and then building moment. To give myself grace and ease while I reorient myself to the waking world. Redownloading my identity, my goals, my tasks, before rushing off into the world without remembering my purpose. I do not want to be a robot meant only to Do and not Be.

I want to be human and flesh and feelings and mistakes and joys and tears and hugs and to be filthy dirty at the end of each day.
