Last week, the Central Oregon Multi-Agency Traffic Team ran a speed enforcement campaign over a three-day period. Over that period, the team made 107 stops - 74 for speed. The Oregon State Police High Visibility Enforcement Unit joined in the campaign throughout the tri-county area and made 437 additional stops, 208 of which were for speed.

Speed is a big factor in injury and fatal crashes - we want everyone to be safe. Slow down and stay safe out there.

All six member agencies of the Central Oregon Multi-Agency Traffic Team—Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office, Bend Police Department, Black Butte Ranch Police Department, Redmond Police Department, Sunriver Police Department, and Oregon State Police—will be focusing on different regions of the county each day:

✅ July 16: South Deschutes County
✅ July 17: Central & East Deschutes County
✅ July 18: North & West Deschutes County

The goal is simple: reduce the crashes and injuries we most often see caused by speeding, lane departures, impairment, distractions, and not wearing seat belts.
