Nature is truly our best healer offering connection and renewal. Yet our modern life styles are moving away from knowledge and respect of the natural world at an alarming pace, a major cause and contributor of much mental instability, disconnection and loneliness. This course is an invitation to slow down and connect with the gifts of the natural world.
Over the course of six months we will explore health as something we cultivate in relationship with the land, within our bodies and within community. Through sensory work with the land we will deepen our understanding of plants and the natural world, fostering connections and spaces for health and healing through work with herbal medicine, being on the land, simple ritual and engagement with the elements and our senses. Spring seems to be arriving quickly here. This is the time to get your cottonwood buds harvested to save them up for your sore muscles needs. It is also one of my absolutely favorite scents! I love wearing the oil as a scent too! It’s so good! I harvested these to demo oil extraction in our first Foundations of Herbalism class this Saturday. There i a spot left if you’d like to jump in and join us this year. Link in bio 💚🌿

I will be collaborating with bow sanctuary February 2 offering an afternoon workshop of breathwork, restorative yoga and herbal medicines that are nourishing and restorative to the mind, body and spirit. Check out the link in the bio to find out more info or to register. 🌲💚 I have been incredible thankful to be teaching at such a calming healing space. The fresh mountain air coming off the bay and Blanchard mountain refreshes my spirit deeply every time I’m there.
