It’s nearly ☀️summertime in the PNW and 📚school is almost out! It’s a perfect time to learn about 💦🛟🏊‍♀️🏊‍♂️water safety and remember that our lake temperatures are still 🥶cold despite our summer weather vibes.

Yesterday, three of our Youth Ambassadors and lifeguards Hailey, Abigail, and Avery taught a water safety lesson to each of the 5th grader classes at Bennett Elementary (63 5th graders!). They introduced them to our water safety characters 💦Seasi and Flip and shared essential information on how to be safe around water, learn what to do if they are ever in trouble, what to do if someone else is in trouble, and how to help keep their friends and family safe!

We had a blast with our interactive lesson and games! Thank you Bennett 5th Grade teachers for having us! This was our third year and we look forward to coming back again next year.

🤩What a Big Turnout at Bellevue City Hall!
Today, more than ✨110 industry leaders including general contractors, architects, engineers, landscape architects, and aquatic professionals from across the region and nation, packed City Council Chambers to learn about the future Bellevue Airfield Park and the new Bellevue Aquatic Center. 🏊‍♀️🏊‍♂️🌳💙💦

The City of Bellevue Parks & Community Services team who SPLASHForward has been working closely with for the past eight years, hosted an informational meeting ahead of an upcoming Request for Qualifications (RFQ) that will begin assembling the project team. Pending State approval to use Progressive Design-Build, the RFQ is expected to release in March.
