This week we’re practicing the DBT skill: GIVE

You don’t have to choose between standing up for yourself or keeping other people happy. GIVE is a tool to help you set boundaries by: being Gentle, acting Interested, Validating, & using an Easy Manner.

Those steps can make a huge difference in all kinds of nerve-wracking conversations: asking a roommate to do dishes, setting boundaries with a friend, or bringing up concerns to a boss.
