Front porch updates that started simple… and turned into the right solution 👋

This project originally began as a plan to update the porch railings, but once we got into it, it was clear that a proper post replacement was needed to make everything solid, safe, and built to last. So we adjusted the plan and did it the right way.

Along the way, we also updated the columns and stair treads, removed the old tired paint and added fresh stain giving this front porch a cleaner look and a big upgrade in both curb appeal and safety 🏡✨

For this Bedford home, we installed a new indoor stair railing on one side and refinished the existing railing on the opposite side with a fresh coat of paint 🎨. A clean look, improved safety, and everything now ties together nicely.

I’m a dad of three boys and we are big Marvel fans in my house.

Now onto Stair Post #4!
This homeowner had their finished basement floors redone but never updated the stairs — until now.

We removed the old carpet and installed vinyl plank flooring to match the rest of the basement. Clean, modern, and way easier to maintain.

Stair Post #3
Rotted side door stairs? Let’s fix that.

I salvaged what I could, removed the rotted framing, replaced it with fresh lumber, and finished it off with new decking and a matching railing.

Now this little side yard step ties right in with the main deck — clean, safe, and solid.
