LSU Alumni Association - Dallas Chapter

🐅Celebrating Texas Tiger father/son team, Shea and Cade Mercer!
Shea has been involved in the Dallas Chapter since the 90's and has served on our local board for the past 10 years. Cade joined us in 2024 after graduating and both are proud LSU Alumni!
Shea owns recruiting / staffing company - Mercer Executive Search. He obtained a degree in Accounting, but started recruiting in 1995. He places professionals in various types of positions, but mostly in Accounting, Finance, Marketing, Administration, HR, and Logistics and feels fortunate to be in a position to help others.
Cade works in construction management for Vaughn Construction. He is currently working on a project in the heart of Dallas that, at completion in 2031, will be the largest new-build pediatric hospital in the country.
What is their favorite LSU memory?
Shea - "The Earthquake Game. I was a student and the catch was right in front of me. There are so many more, but this game was incredible."
Cade: "My entire life has been filled with LSU. From coming home from the hospital in LSU attire, to growing up watching and attending countless games and events, to fulfilling the dream walking across the stage in the PMAC - many great memories with LSU at the center. I loved afternoons in Alex Box Stadium and time spent with incredible fellow Tigers. The moment that will always stick with me is the football game against Alabama in 2022, aka the Earthquake Game 2.0. It's special because Dad's favorite memory was as a student for the iconic Earthquake Game against Auburn."
Why do they support LSU Alumni Association, Dallas Chapter?
Shea: "It is important to me to be part of the chapter to give back. Being a part of the LSU family -is just different- and we all know it. It's very meaningful, and fun, to meet people in the area that went to LSU, or they are from Louisiana, and there is an immediate bond. There is not another school that has what we have, and I will always do what I can to help promote our great university."
Cade: "With Dad being heavily involved and serving multiple terms on the board, I have sort of been a part of the Dallas Alumni Chapter since before I was a student. The amazing part is that even in a big city in a different state, the chapter allows for us Tigers to stay close and keep that special bond that only we know. Attending the events and watching the LSU family grow as we support the incoming students is rewarding and meaningful to me."
💜💛THANK YOU to Shea and Cade for their passion and support in giving back to LSU and Happy Father's Day! Join them and our TX Tiger team in Dallas:
