Teach For America Greater Baton Rouge

As New Teacher Training comes to a close, we are celebrating the corps members who were recognized by their peers over the past weeks for living out our KREWE values: Keep Students First, Relationships, Excellence, Willingness to Grow, and Energy.
Throughout training, these awards have been a way for corps members to notice and name the values they see in one another. Each winner receives a pin representing the value they were recognized for, a small symbol of the big impact they are already making. This final round was especially fun because we even had a special guest, Mike Yates from the Reinvention Lab, earn a few pins while he visited.
Congratulations to all of our KREWE winners from the past two weeks. Your peers see the purpose, care, and commitment you are bringing to this work, and we are excited to see how these values continue to shape your classrooms this fall.

We are grateful to Associated Grocers Baton Rouge for serving as a sponsor of our New Teacher Training and helping create a strong start for our newest corps members.
During training, corps members have the opportunity to practice instruction, learn alongside mentor teachers and staff, and continue preparing for the classrooms they will lead this fall. Support from partners like Associated Grocers helps make this important learning experience possible.
We are especially thankful that Associated Grocers also provided goodie bags filled with school supplies and snacks for corps members. This generous gesture helped our new teachers feel supported, encouraged, and welcomed by the Greater Baton Rouge community as they begin their teaching journey.
Thank you, Associated Grocers, for investing in new teachers and showing up for students across our region.
