Congratulations to . Akilah won Google’s DOODLE 4 GOOGLE contest!! In 2015, Google challenged kids everywhere to doodle about “What makes me … me”. Akilah described her google as afrocentric and drawn as a box braid with her personal characteristics surrounding it and as a reflection of her lifestyle and what made her what she is today!

"I have no hesitation in saying we need to add the letter 'A'. An education devoid of arts and artistic and humanistic endeavors, is an empty, half-brain kind of education." Harvard University education professor Howard Gardner. Another moderator commented that "[M]athematics, computer science, and the arts are insanely related. They are all creative expressions"!!
