ATHLETICS UPDATE | WEDNESDAY, JULY 15

Due to the forecast for continued severe weather and out of an abundance of caution, all Bandera ISD Athletics, Strength & Conditioning, and related skills/practices are canceled for Wednesday, July 15.

The safety of our students, staff, and families is our highest priority. We encourage everyone to continue monitoring local weather conditions and never attempt to drive through flooded roadways or low water crossings.

We will continue to monitor the weather and provide updates as conditions change.

Bandera ISD is proud to announce Keleigh Weatherson as our new Middle School Girls Coordinator!

A proud Bandera High School Class of 2017 graduate, Coach Weatherson was a 2 sport letterman in Volleyball and Basketball and was also involved in athletic training during her time as a Bulldog.

Coach Weatherson continued her education at Texas A&M University, where she earned her degree in Sport Management with a minor in Coaching as part of the Class of 2021.

She is entering her 6th year in education, including the last 2 years right here in her hometown of Bandera, TX. Before returning home to Bandera ISD, Coach Weatherson proudly coached at Odem Edroy ISD and Conroe ISD.

Along with serving as Middle School Girls Coordinator, Coach Weatherson will also coach Middle School Volleyball, Basketball, and Track & Field.

We are excited to see her continue leading and investing in our student athletes while growing the future of Lady Bulldog athletics. Please help us congratulate Coach Weatherson on this exciting new leadership opportunity!

NEW TRACK RECORDS BOARD ALERT!! 🥇🐾💙

If you go into the gym hallway at the middle school you will notice something new hanging on the wall. The track record board is now complete with a lot of this years track athletes with their names on it. Coach Edwards and myself went as far back to 2013 for the best track and field times. Shout out to our coaches this year Coach Mata, Coach Acevedo, Coach Weatherson, and Coach Nelson for keeping and updating times for the board. I hope this is a motivation for track athletes for years to come.

We are so proud of the grit and Bulldog pride these young athletes showed in every event. From broken PRs to dominant relays, it was a fantastic end to the season! 🐾💨
