As we reflect on the 77th anniversary of the D-Day invasion, it is estimated that fewer than 300,000 or 1.8% of WWII veterans are with us today. If we find ourselves with the opportunity to have a conversation with one of these Veterans, take time to hear their story. Read their history. Learn from their courage. As General Patton said, "It is foolish and wrong to mourn the men who died. Rather, we should thank God that such men lived."
