Hemafuse units have arrived at Mama Lucy Kibaki Hospital in Kenya to provide surgical care for patients in need of blood transfusions.

Dr. Pandael, Eastern Zonal Manager of the Tanzania National Blood Transfusion Service, recently gave a presentation at a conference in Tanzania on the organization's focus toward providing blood products tailored to the specific needs of patients.

As it relates to this conference, Tanzania’s NBTS is working to reduce maternal mortality and recommending the use of Hemafuse to provide autologous blood transfusion in cases such as ruptured ectopic pregnancy.
