Thursday, I had the honor of speaking at the Neighborhood Design Center’s “The Vision is Yours: A Regional Placemaking & Place-keeping Conference,” and it was one for the books🎉🎉🎉

I joined a powerful panel alongside
Tenille Patterson and Xavion Star Freedom, moderated by LaQuida Chancey, on “Stories Are Infrastructure: How Narrative, Movement, and Memory Build Place.”

One thing that stood out:
We don’t just build spaces, we shape meaning, identity, and belonging through the stories we tell and preserve.

I’m SO grateful to be in rooms like this with people who are doing the real work; on the ground, in community, and with intention.
