Last week was Spy Academy Week at SuperHero Camp, and the curriculum called for large old books — think vintage encyclopedias — so the kids could hollow out secret hideaways. When I first saw that on the plan, my honest reaction was: where on earth am I going to find a pile of old encyclopedias?

Enter Maria Saves the Day.

Maria sources the hard-to-find supplies that make our camp magic possible, and this time she literally lived up to the name. She’s resourceful, she’s values-aligned, and she shows up every single time. Working with her is always a joy.
