Our Jewish Recovery

Tonight is our annual OJR Hanukkah party. All are invited and there is no cost to attend or rsvp necessary.

There’s a tradition that started in the 50’s or 60’s at the University of Chicago of having a Latke-Hamantash debate, with people debating which food has contributed more to Jewish history, the latke or the hamantash. The “debate” is always silly and fun. We thought we’d do an OJR spin-off on this idea and “debate” recovery pathways. Which is better, Teshuvah or the 12 Steps? Obviously both can be helpful approaches, and there are others, and tonight we’ll enjoy some learning, humor, and we’ll settle the debate, once and for all.
