GOD WANTS HIS PEOPLE TO BE FILLED WITH THE POWER OF HIS HOLY SPIRIT!!
Jesus told His disciples to wait until they were endowed (provided with a quality, ability or asset) with the power of the Holy Ghost. NOT the tongues or unbelievers' sign of the Holy Ghost-- the POWER of!. I'm afraid that many unknown tongue-talkers stopped waiting when they heard tongues but we are supposed to wait for the power. That's why today many spiritual groups are powerless against the wiles of the enemy. Paul called it "having a FORM of godliness but denying the power" If you stopped waiting before you were equipped with power, it's not too late. Lie before God or go into powerful praise and believe for it. When you are aware of the presence of God, stay there connected to the power source until His power is placed in you. Don't disconnect yourself because the sign of tongues is evident. Remember: the tongues are not the power. The ability to speak in other languages allows those of other languages who are in your presence to hear the wonders of God spoken in their own language and know that God is a God of miracles.
