I love a styled shoot. Finding a concept, setting up props, collaborating on wardrobe, and watching it come to life, I love the whole process.
Every styled shoot comes with its own challenges and obstacles. Learning to trust the process and never give up on the vision is a huge part of a styled shoots success.
For this shoot I wanted to create and capture the summer time feeling. The nostalgia that we all have of running through the sprinklers in the front yard. I love shooting bright try-to-life colors so having the flamingos, pool, pinwheels, and bright bathing suits made this shoot perfect!

A few years ago I saw a post about a photographer meet up happening near me. It was being hosted by Alyssa. I had just picked my camera back up after years of feeling not good enough. I was looking to get back out in the game and I loved the concept so I reached out and said I’d come. Little did I know that choice would lead to a wonderful friendship.
Over the years I have attended Alyssa’s meetups and helped host a couple of my own. I am truly thankful for the community we have created and it couldn’t have been done with out her commitment to raising others up. I have learned from her, confided in her, and cheer for her.
