Flashback Friday: Engineering for the Frontline Since Day One

History doesn’t just show us where we’ve been; it proves what our technology can endure.

We dug into the marketing closet this week and uncovered these vintage Setcom ads. From our early days sponsoring teams at the Indianapolis 500 to developing bone-conduction kits for firefighters in SCBA masks, one thing has always been true: we build communication systems for the loudest, highest-stakes environments on earth.

For over 50 years, Setcom has been trusted by those who operate where failure isn't an option.

While the technology has evolved from the classic prints shown here, our core mission hasn't changed. Whether it’s a police motorcycle navigating high-speed wind noise, a fire crew coordinating tactics en route to a scene, or an industrial team running heavy equipment, clear communication is safety.

We're incredibly proud of our legacy and even prouder to continue manufacturing rugged, reliable systems for today's public safety fleets.

Our partnership with DGM Racing continues to gain momentum, and we appreciate Daily Downforce and A.E. Engine for the feature in NASCAR Pole Position Magazine.

For us, teaming up with DGM isn’t just a sponsorship - it’s a proving ground. NASCAR pits are loud, chaotic, and unforgiving, where the environment pushes communication gear to its limits, and that’s exactly why we’re there. When our headsets perform in that level of noise, speed, and pressure, it validates the same technology trusted by fire departments, police motor units, and industrial crews nationwide. We appreciate DGM Racing for putting our headsets to the test!
