There's always that one person who has it out for you 😒

But I've learned through therapy that when people are mean, their behavior is more of a reflection on them than it is a reflection on anyone else.

Remember that you only have control over your response to their behavior. Who do you want to be? Your behavior will reflect your character.

So when that mean girl treats me poorly, I choose to walk away because I don't want to be a mean girl like her.

I choose to give my attention to the kind people around me instead! And it feels so much better!

How do YOU respond to mean girl behaviors? Let me know in the comments!

What if you're perfect exactly the way you are?

What if the people who want you to think your body hair is ugly are actually influenced to think that way in order to sell products?

I'm slowly working on embracing myself as I am, and my first bold move in that direction is no longer hiding my unibrow.

I remember watching "Even Stevens" as a kid and seeing how disgusted the main character was when he found out his teacher shaved her unibrow. I was scared people would react that way to seeing my unibrow.

Turns out, it's not so horrible having a unibrow. My partner, my friends, and my family all still love me.

I hope this encourages at least one person to feel a little better in their own skin.

Pass it along if you've ever felt similarly.

Being different can be very lonely.

The loneliness can feel like a threat, which makes sense because community is an important part of our survival.

When we feel isolated from the social sphere, we feel unsafe. Maybe we cope in ways that aren't super nice to our bodies.

If this resonates with you, you are not alone. You are welcome here. Give me a follow so we can figure this out together.
