We’re proud to celebrate Megan, CVT, VTS (Surgery) from Animal Specialty & Emergency Center of Brevard in Melbourne, Florida, on being named a recipient of the Dr. Earl H. Rippie Veterinary Nurse Leadership Scholarship at VMX hosted by NAVC! πŸŽ‰

This national honor recognizes veterinary technicians and nurses who demonstrate exceptional leadership and make a meaningful impact on their teams and the profession.

Dr. Rippie believed veterinary nurses are the heart of the hospital and equal voices on the veterinary care team. Thank you Megan for your dedication that continues to raise the standard of care for patients, clients, and colleagues alike.

Congratulations on this well-deserved recognition. We’re proud to have you as part of the Ethos community. πŸ’š

We’re proud to share a milestone for Ethos and the veterinary profession. 🐾

Our ASCEND framework (Advancing Skills, Competency, and Education in Veterinary Nursing Development) has been published in the Journal of the American Veterinary Medical Association (JAVMA) β€” the first workforce-informed competency framework created specifically for veterinary nurses to be featured in the journal.

The manuscript, β€œA Workforce-Informed Competency Framework Defines 94 Core Abilities of Credentialed Veterinary Technicians,” establishes a shared, evidence-based foundation to support:

β€’ competency-based training and development
β€’ career growth and professional recognition
β€’ consistent, high-quality patient care
β€’ long-term workforce sustainability

We’re grateful to everyone who contributed and proud to support research that strengthens clinical teams, elevates veterinary nursing, and advances care across the profession. πŸ‘

From classroom to clinic. πŸ“šπŸ₯

An extern at our network hospital, Nashville Veterinary Specialists and Animal Emergency, Jayce, she completed her very first blood draw with the guidance of Ally, one of our VTAs, and Alex, our Internal Medicine LVT at NVS. 🩸

Moments like this are what our veterinary student externship program is all about. At Ethos Veterinary Health, externs spend 2–4 weeks immersed in real clinical environments, learning alongside experienced veterinarians and technicians, joining daily rounds, exploring specialties, and building hands-on skills that shape their future careers.

We love watching our teams support, teach, and cheer each other on and watching students grow into confident clinicians. Big congrats, Jayce! πŸ’š

Every day, canine and feline blood donors help make lifesaving care possible for patients in critical need. While blood banking often happens quietly behind the scenes, its impact is anything but small. 🩸

Across our Ethosystem, our hospital-based blood donor programs support emergency and specialty teams when minutes matter most β€” ensuring blood products are available, safe, and ready when patients need them.

Blood banking is also one of the ways we continue to advance how veterinary medicine is practiced. Through investment in clinical expertise, infrastructure, and programs that make complex, lifesaving care possible, while supporting our teams and expanding what’s possible for patients.

Blood can’t be manufactured. Every transfusion is only possible because another pet stepped up to help.

To every donor, donor family, and hospital team who makes this work possible: thank you for being part of a community that saves lives every single day. πŸ’šπŸΎ
