Creamy Garlic Shrimp 🍤✨

Juicy shrimp in a creamy garlic sauce — quick, easy & perfect with pasta, rice or toasted bread.

Ingredients
• 300–400 g shrimp
• 1 small onion
• 2 garlic cloves
• 200 ml heavy cream
• butter or olive oil
• salt & pepper
• lemon juice
• fresh parsley
• optional: chili flakes, parmesan, spinach

Instructions
1. Heat butter or olive oil in a pan.
2. Sauté chopped onion until soft.
3. Add garlic and cook briefly.
4. Add shrimp and cook 2–3 minutes.
5. Pour in the cream.
6. Season with salt, pepper & a splash of lemon juice.
7. Simmer until the sauce thickens.
8. Finish with parsley.

Perfect with pasta, rice or crusty bread 🤍

Pork Chops with Mushrooms 🍄 A hearty homemade meal that never disappoints 👌 Juicy pork, rich mushroom sauce, and simple ingredients. 🛒 Ingredients: • 800 g pork loin chops • 2 handfuls dried mushrooms (soaked in warm water for 1 hour) • 3 onions • 3 garlic cloves • 800 ml beef broth • 2 tbsp lard or oil • 1 tsp caraway seeds • 1 tbsp plain flour • extra flour for coating the meat • 3 sprigs rosemary • salt & pepper • optional: 1 tbsp mushroom soy sauce 👨‍🍳 Method: 1️⃣ Slice the pork, lightly score the edges, season with salt and pepper, then coat lightly in flour. 2️⃣ Sear the chops quickly on both sides in hot lard or oil. Remove and set aside. 3️⃣ Add onions to the pan and cook until nicely golden and slightly darkened. Add a splash of broth if needed. 4️⃣ Stir in crushed garlic, cook briefly, then sprinkle in the flour and mix well. 5️⃣ Add the soaked mushrooms together with their soaking liquid, caraway seeds, and pour in the beef broth. 6️⃣ Return the meat to the pan, add rosemary, and let simmer for about 45 minutes until tender. 7️⃣ Remove the meat and optionally stir mushroom soy sauce into the gravy for deeper flavor and color. 8️⃣ Let the sauce reduce until it reaches your preferred consistency. 🍽️ Best served with pasta 🍝 or rice 🍚 #dinneridea #homemadefood #porkchops #mushrooms #comfortfood #easyrecipe #foodlover #homecooking #familydinner #recipeoftheday

I had the honor of preparing traditional Czech and Slovak desserts for the Preciosa Gala hosted by the National Czech & Slovak Museum & Library in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

It was a beautiful evening celebrating our rich cultural heritage, and I’m proud to have been part of it—bringing authentic flavors and traditions to the table. 🍰
