As we gear up for our first Horse Medicine Retreat of the year and season— I sit in reflection of where we are and what is present.
It’s always so enlightening and revealing when we step into that retreat space.
Almost as if we all walk through a portal into another dimension.
A space that is filled with so much intention and presence.
Our whole focus is the horses- being with them, observing them, connecting with them, sharing space with them.
We’ve made some changes since our last retreat.
Stevie had her accident and is now in her rehab stall/castle, separate from her boys Raz and Dreamer.
Raz and Dreamer have officially become the boys.
Frodo & Sahara have taken up residence in the Frodo’s Field pasture to allow our house pasture grass to grow and recover from drought.
We’ve added some new fencing and gates.
I’m excited to witness the new flow.
A more grounded collective nervous system.
A deeply safe and attuned space.
Space.
Spaciousness.
The universe always provides.
The timing of when whoever comes and how they somehow connect so perfectly with what is here.
I know that Stevie’s current condition is going to be medicine.
For her and for our guest.
And.
The boys.
They’ve always been playful- but they are even more playful now.
Raziel would often sit out and let Stevie & Dreamer play.
But now he’s playing a lot more with Dreamer.
This type of play is powerful medicine.
That reminder to pause and enjoy the moment.
