At The Law Veterans Association’s 10th Anniversary Banquet at , I got to do something I’ve been looking forward to for months—announce out loud, in a room full of the people who helped make it possible.

Fellow veterans. Mentors. Friends. People who believed in us before we had anything to show.

I was also honored to receive the second-ever TLVA Impact Award — especially humbling following Professor Stanley Johanson, a true giant of Texas law and the first recipient.

Ten years ago, a group of veteran law students built something special at UT. Last night felt like a full-circle moment.

To everyone in that room—thank you. and I are just getting started. ⚖️🇺🇸
