🚨 RETENTION TIPS 🚨
‼️Save for later‼️
🔴 Isolate first. Before making/dipping your fan, you should already know exactly where it’s going.
🔴 Use a fast drying glue. If you’re isolating first and going directly to the natural lash, the glue should be WET as it makes contact with the NL and dry as you hold the fan in place for a second or two.
🔴 Know the glue’s specifications. Does it like high, low, or moderate humidity? Is it a wide-range humidity glue? Can it withstand a higher temperature or does it prefer a chilly working environment?
🔴 Having control of your working environment is key to good retention. A good heavy duty humidifier (for winter) and a good heavy duty dehumidifier (for summer) allow you to control the dry time of your glue and tailor it to your specific work speed.
🔴 If you’re using a humidifier, point the mist AWAY from your work space. You don’t want the mist to be settling on your glue and/or client’s face. If you need two, get two.
🔴 The higher the humidity the faster the glue dries. The lower the humidity the slower the glue dries.
🔴 Check each section as you work. Give them a GOOD brushing. Check the attachments. Stickies? - glue is drying too slow. (Crank up your humidifier.) Fans popping off? - glue drying too fast. (Work faster, lower your humidity, or get a slower drying glue.)
🔴 There is no magic glue that’s going to give you the best retention. The longer you work with one glue the better you become with it, you have to learn how to use it. I can tell if the weather unexpectedly changes outside by how my glue is behaving.
♥️ I hope this helps! ♥️

I need your help.
With covid numbers in Texas on the rise, I’m now urging everyone to start getting tested regularly. I have approximately 75 active clients that I work on every 2-3 weeks. That means our, yes OUR risk is quite high as I’m working on your face. Masks and hand washing and sanitizers go a long way, but the fact that I work so close to your face for and hour or more at a time is a high risk situation in itself.
If one of my clients pass it to me, I could pass it to up to 50 clients before I would ever see symptoms.
This is supposed to be shocking. I’m taking a huge risk by remaining open. I am scared to get the virus again.
PLEASE go get tested, even if you don’t have symptoms. When I was positive, I wasn’t showing symptoms. Please help protect me, your lash guy, as well as all my other clients-
GET TESTED.
(It’s no longer the painful swab up the nose. Most sites are drive thru and you do the swab yourself. Go to Walgreens.com/coronavirus and answer their questionnaire and say you have a symptom and they’ll schedule you a free rapid test.)
If I don’t start getting cooperation on this, I’m going to start requiring negative test results in order to schedule your next appointment. I’m serious about this. We have to take measures to protect each other.
Thank you for your cooperation!

You may have noticed I have a new 👀 look. Let me take a minute to address that. I am no longer a LashBoxLA brand ambassador. 😘 Since it’s my dream to have my own brand, I thought it was time to step out 🕺🏻on my own and start building my brand. There is a ton of work that goes into developing a brand of products, but I know I’m up for the task! There is no bad blood between anyone at LashBoxLA and myself. I look up to all the ladies at LBLA!! 💕 They are super talented artists and savvy businesswomen!! I am one of the luckiest 🥰 lash artists in the world to have been a LashBoxLA Brand Ambassador and I’m forever grateful!! However, developing my own brand while working to promote LBLA didn’t seem honest. So that’s why I made the difficult decision to resign.
I am still committed to bringing you tips and tricks, motivation, honest stories, and beautiful lash pics every week! My favorite thing is answering lash questions in my DMs and interacting with you! So keep tagging me in your beautiful pics and keep using my hashtags and so I can see your work!
Don’t forget, I’m offering private mega volume training at my salon.

Quick Update
As you know, I tested positive for Covid-19 on August, 25. I've been almost completely asymptomatic. I'm going in for another test on Tuesday September 8. If the test comes back negative, and I certainly hope it does, I would like to go ahead and get back to work on Wednesday the 9th.
I know you have been without a fill for a number of weeks now and it's not your fault. That being said, I do need to know if we need to book time for a full set. If we missed the last fill and it's time for the next fill that means there is two fills worth of work to be done, and we need to book the appropriate amount of time. I really don't want to be rushed to try and create a full set in an hour and that's what happens when a client asks me to "do what I can." Rushed work is a bad look, and it's off brand. I want your lashes to look amazing and amazing takes time.
If you have appointments booked for next week and you know you need a full set or think you might, please text me and let's get you booked for a longer appointment.
And remember, if you're feeling sick, (even more tired than normal and you don't have a fever), stay home and contact your doctor. I was completely asymptomatic for the majority of the virus. The only thing I felt was a little tired and run-down.
Thank you so much for your well-wishes and thoughts and prayers!! I appreciate you!! Stay safe, wear a mask, practice social distancing, and wash your hands often!
