HAPPY NEWS! As 2026’s tour is SOLD OUT, internationally recognized singer-songwriter Sara Hickman will rejoin Raven Sinclaire in 2027 for a tour of Scotland's beauty, enchanting history and MUSIC! During our ten days together, we’ll experience breathtaking scenery, castles, museums and ancient historical sites plus live music at night, including special private concerts.
Your tour includes stays in 4-star eco-friendly hotels, breakfast every day and 3 group dinners. Here's the tentative itinerary. (The finalized tour may vary slightly and will be emailed to all participants closer to time):
SCOTLAND 2027 with Sara!
Please arrive in Scotland by September 14th, where we’ll gather for a Meet & Greet at 5:00PM that night at Radisson Blu, then you’ll enjoy a night in the Capital City. (We can help with lodging suggestions)
September 15
Day 1-3: Our tour begins! A coach will pick us up that morning in Edinburgh City Centre in front of the Radisson Blu where we’ll travel to the Scottish Borders, a beautiful and often overlooked area of Scotland. We'll visit Sir Walter Scott’s former home, Abbotsford, on our drive. We'll see Melrose Abbey, where Robert the Bruce's heart is buried and Dryburgh Abbey, which is the resting place of Walter Scott. We'll also visit The Great Tapestry of Scotland Museum, quaint villages and learn about the famous Border Ballads. These were stories of local adventures, raids, fairies and ghosts that were sung instead of written, but eventually documented by Walter Scott. Our hotel home for three nights will be Peebles Hotel & Spa.
Day 4-6: We travel to the east coast, stopping at a lovely fishing village for lunch and a wander. Then on to Montrose, a historic coastal town known for its wide bustling high street and the Montrose Basin nature reserve, featuring a long sandy beach, a charming town center, and several historical sites plus a busy harbor. We’ll also visit stunning beaches, castle ruins and hear tales from local historians. And, yes, there will be music! (Hotel tbd).
Day 7-9: We’ll journey inland northwest to Nairn, with a stop along the way in Dunkeld for lunch and a wander. In Nairn, we'll take a day trip to the Cairngorms to walk with a herd of reindeer, explore Rait castle ruins, enjoy walks on the beach and great music in the evenings. Our hotel home will be Invernairne Guest House.
Day 10: Return to Edinburgh, with a stop at Stirling Castle for tour and lunch, then onward for a final night and group dinner at Radisson Blu to share memories and say farewell.
Day 11 Leave for airport (for those returning home).

Our tours are different than most. We follow a model of Regenerative Tourism, meaning we strive to leave a place better than we found it. Tours are carefully curated to support Scottish communities and be mindful of areas that are overtouristed. You’ll see Scotland with local guides and musicians sharing music and stories. We take our time wherever we visit, and a portion of every tour goes into conservation efforts in the areas we visit.
