this is a script designed to take CAD in topographic format and to automatically generate the City of Austin's 2010 era land development code "McMansion Ordinance " Tent Envelope.

the idea was to do two things.

first to automatically generate the CAD so you don't have to do it manually by drafting it. so you can see our dimensioned elevations that we laid out on the X-Y axis for convenience just as a first run through.

the second thing was to iterate the formal and volumetric options that were dependant upon where you chose to start the setback.

bsically the topography was fixed but you could affect the height and shape of the tent - and thus the extents of the structure - dependent upon where you chose to start your setback.

if we had an opportunity i'd love to complete this and implement the newest zoning changes in HOME I and II as a scripted exercise.
