Last weekend I had the immense privilege of getting to be part of facilitating a baby blessing for dear friends in Kentucky…. here are some shots of the magic! 😍

A baby blessing (or a mother blessing, sometimes traditionally called a Blessingway), is an opportunity to witness the deep initiation of becoming a mother. We create rituals with intention that help the woman to walk through this threshold knowing that she will be seen and supported in her new identity as a mother.

It’s about so much more than showering her with gifts… it’s about elevating the role of mother to one of honor; and acknowledging the death and rebirth that is happening during this beautiful season.

Such a pleasure facilitating with and blessing this new family as a community. 🙏 It was also such a joy to get to take my daughter with me on the trip… she soaked up every moment, loving the preparations, the ritual and staying up late with mama. 😻

I have been so moved by the poetry and insights of - highly recommend following for wisdom for the dark night of the soul. ❤️
