When Texans come to Oregon.

Him, “Would you like to sign our PEACE act petition, which will make all hunting and fishing a criminal act?”

Us, “Actually, we’re both bow hunters, and think deer and fish are pretty tasty.”

Him, “Don’t you think the deer would appreciate being allowed to live?”

Us, “Absolutely, and they do have an amazing life all the way up until the day they meet me. They have no hormones and no fear prior to their last 30 seconds. Unlike most meat found in grocery stores. Are you vegetarian?”

Him, “I am vegan.”

Us, “Good for! you way to practice what you preach!” Off we went on our journey to the Oregon Renaissance Festival.

I appreciate all of our willingness to listen to differing perspectives.
