Our Echo - Movement, Sound & Evolution

it is the time
of revelation
of contemplation
of sitting gently with confusion and doubt
and letting them soften in the light
transforming fear into trust
hatred into compassion

it is the time to see ourselves more clearly
to witness our many parts
to recognize our part
in all of this

structures are crumbling
within and without
and this is a good thing
what no longer serves must fall
and make way for something truer
something greater
that builds a bridge into what comes next

i do not know where we are going
yet i feel we are already on the way
and clinging to the staircases of our old homes
will only leave us with strained hands
and bruised hearts

so i surrender because i must
i trust because it is the deepest truth i know
i loosen my grip
freeing mind, heart, and body
and i find gratitude in the quiet inhalation
that still fills my chest

we are still here
alive
and that is possibility enough
to continue

we will not pass through this time unchanged
and holding to dogma
to rigid belief systems
may be the very thing that undoes us

so i release what i am gripping
and fall back into the belly of the mother
the great void
the vast blackness
from which all potential is born

i realign with my center
and allow the contractions of this becoming
to open me wider than before

i welcome a new birth
taking place
around me
within me
and through me
