Something I’ve noticed:

It doesn’t have to be “good” to make an impact.

People will always choose truth over polish.
Authenticity over perfection.
Being moved over being impressed.

If you have the courage to touch truth,
you have the power to touch other people’s souls
in the places they didn’t even know were sleeping.

We’ve all heard it before, a variation of something like:

“There’s no light without the darkness.”

Light cannot exist without the dark, in the same way that the dark has the quality of illuminating what we have yet to see clearly if we have the courage to let it show us what we’ve been afraid to acknowledge.

When we learn to dance with our darkness, we are making the commitment to reclaim what we once disowned or disconnected from because we didn’t feel worthy or lovable.

In that process of embracing and reclaiming what was once lost within the wounding, all those fragmented pieces begin to reknit themselves within the fabric of our being.

As we re-integrate these parts of ourselves, we begin to rest within wholeness that we already are.

We can’t help but shine so brightly because we’ve learned to welcome these aspects of ourselves home that never had a safe place to call their own.

We are no longer trying to dim our light or try to hide under the cover of our own darkness.

By learning to embrace ourselves just as we are, we have unlocked our capacity to become shadow dancers.
