Most growers watch the forecast. The best ones watch VPD.

𝗩𝗮𝗽𝗼𝗿 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗱𝗲𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗶𝘁 𝘁𝗲𝗹𝗹𝘀 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝗰𝗮𝗻'𝘁 — 𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗰𝗿𝗼𝗽 𝗶𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝗳𝗮𝘃𝗼𝗿𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗵𝗼𝗹𝗱.

When VPD is low, the air is humid, plants aren't drying out, and fungal pathogens have exactly the environment they need to spread.

In corn, that window matters. Gray leaf spot, northern corn leaf blight, tar spot — they don't wait for a convenient spray day. They move when conditions are right, and by the time you see symptoms, you've already lost ground.

Actual conditions at canopy level, so you can time your fungicide application when it protects yield instead of just checking a box.

Low VPD + wet leaves = act now. It's that simple.

Tomato growers know that early-season disease pressure can set the tone for the whole crop. But most spray programs run on a calendar — not on what's actually happening in the field.

𝗦𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗺'𝘀 𝗧𝗼𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗼 𝗔𝗹𝗲𝗿𝘁 𝗣𝗮𝗰𝗸𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁. Using leaf wetness and temperature data from your WatchDog station, the built-in disease model tracks how conditions are stacking up for infection — and flags when risk is actually elevated.

Spray when it counts. Hold off when it doesn't. Know the difference either way.

Insect pressure monitoring is included in the same package, so you're watching the whole picture at once.

Late Blight has a reputation for being fast-moving. What often gets lost is how much time growers have before it arrives — and how few use that window to get ahead of it.

In Idaho, Maine, Michigan, Wisconsin, Minnesota, and the Pacific Northwest, canopy closure is approaching or just underway. That's when Late Blight conditions start stacking up.

By the time lesions show up in the field, the window to prevent spread has already closed.

Spectrum's Potato Alert Package monitors leaf wetness and temperature conditions to flag both Early Blight and Late Blight risk before it becomes visible — using real data from your WatchDog station, not generalized regional forecasts.

June is the right time to be watching. Not July, when it's time to react.

Insect models are included in the same package.
