I have start to use some loose canvas to paint abstract backgrounds. After that, I stretch the canvas and continue the artwork by finishing the painting with a brush. Fun design chalange since the paint totally started the artwork!

I am trying something new to me. Painting with cold wax and oil paint in layers and then adding some Acrylic in the last layer. Because my planned painting is very large I did two small ones to see how this will work. I do like, it but very time intensive!.

I will use the lower horizon and bigger sky for the large 20 x 40 canvas. It is a painting from the Padre Island area in Texas. To the large canvas I will add birds to the beach and the air.
