Ann and I send our most heartfelt condolences to the family, friends, and fellow firefighters of Assistant Fire Chief Wayne Woodbury.
In the face of an unthinkable tragedy, Assistant Chief Woodbury demonstrated the kind of bravery and selflessness that defines Maine’s first responders. He answered the call to protect his community, putting the safety of others before himself.
His courage, dedication, and years of service will never be forgotten. Today, we join the people of Searsmont, Waldo County, and all of Maine in mourning the loss of a true public servant and hero.
Our prayers are with his loved ones and the entire firefighting community during this incredibly difficult time
