Another Thursday night with no blues party. We're all handling it in our own way.

Hey friends. Thanks for the notes of encouragement. Live music fans are good. Blues fans are the best. Sadly, we don't see any shows happening until early April at the soonest. It is what it is. Please stay safe. The band is good. My couch is comfy, Trevor's cooler is stocked and Gregg has a few squares of TP left. We have joked about it, but are not quite ready to join in on the online show donation trend. Thanks for supporting our fellow musicians that are as well as the restaurants & venue staff that are still working. When we get back on stage, it will be a big party and we hope to see you all there!!
In the mean time, I think Gregg is preparing to share some experimental solo dance routines of his own under his alter-ego "Fluffy the Odd Bald Unicorn".

Sorry everyone. First no music Thursday night at Northside Tavern in a very very long time! Geez. Hate to do it but we think it is the best call to keep everyone safe.

Thursday Night Blues Party at Northside Tavern 1-16-2020
We were joined that night on guitar by our friend Eric from the Guitarsenal Youtube channel. Their team was kind enough to film the night and share this video (more coming). Guitar gear nerds should definitely check out their videos.
We had a fun night and as you can see the dancers were out in force.
I took a shot at this old Memphis Slim/Jimmy Rogers/Hollywood Fats song because I heard it in the car on the way to the club. I would play this whole HFB record live if I could! My voice was going and I couldn't quite remember all the lyrics but the band sounded great.
