Ruby and her best friend Benny were dropped off at a friend’s house for a temporary two-week stay. But their mom never came back; she told their caretaker that she didn’t want the pups anymore - that she could do whatever she wanted with them. Things got a bit more complicated for their temporary guardian when she discovered that Ruby was pregnant!

Ruby and Benny have remained great friends throughout their dilemma; they’ve been excellent parents to their 3 surviving puppies. Their temporary foster mom describes Ruby as precious and a great dog.

She’s very outgoing - and good with adults and kids. She seeks out attention and affection, so she’ll make a great family member. She also gets along great with dogs of all sizes. She doesn’t have much experience walking on leash, so that’s a skill she’ll need help and patience to learn.

Ruby’s just over a year old and she’s only about 10 pounds. She is puppy-pad trained but also knows to go outside for potty breaks. She requires another friendly dog in her new home.

So Cute

𝗠𝗲𝗲𝘁 𝗕𝗿𝘆𝘀𝗼𝗻!

No, he’s not a Ty stuffed kid’s toy! He’s Bryson - a little Halloween fun-size, 9-month-old, 4-pound Yorkie!

He’s a still bit of a scruffy monkey right now. He was kinda rough when we first met him -- a little bit matty and stringy and knotted and covered in dry, caked poo. But he cleaned up nicely and seemed to appreciate the attention… just not the brushing. LOL. He’ll be quite adorable with regular, gentle grooming.

Bryson loves attention and affection. And nothing is cuter than having him curls up next to you for a nap. He came from a home with two small children and we’ve noticed he seems nervous around young kids, - which is pretty common for tiny dogs. He can be mouthy – not really biting but he’ll warn you by putting his lil teeth on you if you make him nervous. We don’t feel like he’s had too much positive experience around little kids, especially… so, no smaller kids for him. He’ll need friendly, positive reinforcement to help become more comfy with little people.

When it comes to dogs, he really has no idea what to do. It appears as though he’s a typical puppy who didn’t have access to other puppies or dogs after leaving his litter. He just doesn’t seem like he knows what to do with other dogs; he isn’t sure how to play. He’s been fearful of bigger dogs, but not confident and familiar enough around smaller dogs yet to know how to participate in their games. Currently he’ll follow other dogs around, sort of intrigued – but not knowing what to do if they try to initiate play. He’ll need to find some friendly, confident dogs to teach him how to be a dog.

No one has spent any time teaching him much about most things – including about housetraining. So that’s one of the things he’ll need help to understand and learn. He says he’s willing to give it a try. 😊 He’s beyond ready to learn stuff and to be part of a loving family.
