Tomorrow’s Monday Night Creative Music Series concert at eyedrum art & music gallery features four fabulously talented improvisers performing as duos and a quartet. The players are Helen Gillet, cellist from New Orleans; Steve Marquette, guitarist from Chicago; Ben Eidson, saxophonist from Columbia, SC; and Atlanta’s own Katie Young on bassoon.

The last time Gillet played eyedrum, her performance was a lovely mix of swinging grooves, melodic and harmonic craftiness and witty lyrical wordplay. Katie Young is a deeply gifted bassoonist, creative spirit and imaginative improviser. Marquette pushes sonic boundaries on acoustic and electric guitar. Eidson is a hardcore free jazz/experimentalist.
