Falling in love with pirates happened as a child, watching the series “Vicky the Viking”. Inspiring him to incorporate pirates into the manga he wish to drew in the future.

Furthering his influence were the many pirate autobiographies that he would read. Often going so far as to base his manga characters off of real pirates or giving them small similarities. With surprisingly his biggest inspiration being Akira Toriyamas’ “Dragonball” series, his favorite manga at the time.

Centered around the adventures of Monkey D. Luffy, a very strange and even more stubborn kid whose body gains the properties of rubber from eating a magical Devil Fruit. Luffy explores the Grandline with his crew The Straw Hat Pirates, going on wild adventures in search for the worlds ultimate treasure ; The One Piece

Bonus : One Piece is currently one of the longest running anime in history with 1000 and counting. Even going on to win a Guinness world record.
