Job Description
UTC Aerospace Systems has an immediate opening for a Sr. Hardware Technician to support the design and integration of next generation Airborne Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) imaging systems. Be part of a collaborative hardware team executing the division’s technology road map for image processing and control systems through IR&D and direct product development. Work on a small and agile development team operating with entrepreneurial ingenuity while taking advantage of opportunities to leverage diverse technologies and resources across the greater division.
Job Responsibilities:
Test, verify and integrate complex circuit boards and cable assemblies
Design and construct cables and test fixtures
Rework Printed Circuit Boards, as needed
Generate and revise Engineering documentation; schematics, BOMs, etc.
Manage laboratory assets and test equipment
*Education / Certifications
AS in Electronics, Electrical Engineering or related discipline

*Experience / Qualifications
Required Skills:
AS degree w/10+ years experience
Hands on experience testing complex electronic prototypes
Proven PCB debug experience down to component level
Expert soldering skills and experience with SMT component rework
Test and measurement experience: logic analyzers, scopes, etc.
Ability to interpret designs from schematic and layout tools
Experience with high speed signal integrity and power concepts
Bill of Material (BOM) creation/ management & prototype parts procurement
Proven performer in a program scheduled environment
Excellent computer skills, including MS Office suite
Preferred Skills:
Knowledge of electrical assembly standards IPC-A-610 and IPC-A-620
Certification or ability to attain certification to J-STD-001
Competencies:
Excellent verbal and written skills
Results oriented team player
Must be able to work with limited supervision
Candidate must be a U.S. Citizen, with ability to obtain DoD Security Clearance.
