Being Centered in Christ Jesus — Dr. Pauline E. Wallner-Brinsley

To be centered in Christ Jesus is to live a life anchored, stabilized, and directed by Him. It is the daily posture of surrender where Christ is not an addition to your life, but the very core of it.

1. Christ is Your Foundation

When Christ is your center, everything in your life is built on what cannot be shaken.

📖 1 Corinthians 3:11
“For no one can lay any foundation other than the one already laid, which is Jesus Christ.”

📖 Matthew 7:24–25
“The wise man built his house upon the rock… and it did not fall.”

A life centered in Christ stands firm even when life becomes unstable.

2. Your Identity is Rooted in Him

You are no longer defined by past mistakes, titles, or human approval.

📖 2 Corinthians 5:17
“If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away.”

📖 Galatians 2:20
“I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me.”

Centered living means you walk in the awareness: I belong to Him.

3. Your Direction is Led by His Will

Being centered in Christ means surrendering control and trusting His guidance.

📖 Proverbs 3:5–6
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart… and He will direct your paths.”

📖 Romans 12:2
“Be transformed by the renewing of your mind.”

You are no longer reacting—you are being led.

4. Your Peace is Anchored in Him

Circumstances may shift, but your inner stability remains.

📖 Philippians 4:7
“The peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds.”

📖 John 14:27
“My peace I give you… not as the world gives.”

Centered in Christ means peace is not seasonal—it is spiritual.

5. Your Life Flows from Abiding in Him

Centering in Christ is not striving—it is abiding.

📖 John 15:4–5
“Remain in Me, as I also remain in you… apart from Me you can do nothing.”

📖 Jesus Christ
“Remain in me, as I also remain in you.”

True strength comes from staying connected to the Source.

Conclusion

To be centered in Christ Jesus is to live from alignment rather than anxiety, from surrender rather than self-effort, and from divine identity rather than worldly definition.

When Christ is your center:
• You are steady in storms
• You are clear in confusion
• You are anchored in truth
• You are led by peace

You Are Not the Sacrifice: The Price Has Already Been Paid

In a world where many carry the weight of guilt, shame, and constant striving, there is a powerful truth that must be remembered: you are not the sacrifice.

According to The Bible, the ultimate sacrifice was already made through Jesus Christ. His death and resurrection were not symbolic gestures—they were the complete and final payment for sin. There is nothing left for you to prove, earn, or repay.

Grace Means It’s Already Done

Scripture: “It is finished.” — John 19:30

Salvation is not a transaction you maintain—it is a gift you receive. When Jesus declared these words, He signified that the work of redemption was complete. The debt was cleared. The burden was lifted. The sacrifice was fulfilled.

Trust Replaces Striving

Scripture: “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.” — Proverbs 3:5

Your role is not to become the sacrifice, but to trust the One who already was. Trust in Him in all things—not just when life feels manageable, but especially when it doesn’t. Trust shifts your focus from self-effort to divine sufficiency.

Freedom Changes How You Live

Scripture: “So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.” — John 8:36

When you understand that the price has already been paid, you begin to live differently. You move from fear to faith, from pressure to peace, from performance to purpose. You are no longer trying to earn love—you are living from it.

Final Thought

Scripture: “Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you.” — 1 Peter 5:7

You are not called to carry what Christ has already carried. Lay it down. Release the guilt. Let go of the pressure to be perfect. Trust Him fully—because what was required of you has already been fulfilled through Him.
