This annual ceremony remembers 43 Georgia Guard soldiers killed in the Global War on Terror. We still have Guard soldiers deployed all over the world standing in the gap for us.

I am grateful for all the law enforcement officers, local, state and federal, who helped resolve this very dangerous situation. Several of us in the Georgia State Senate were targeted the same day along with many others across the country.

Romanian Citizen Sentenced in D.C. for ‘Swatting’ Members of Congress, Churches, and Former U.S. President Thomasz Szabo, 27, of Romania, was sentenced today in U.S. District Court to 48 months in prison for his role as leader of an online swatting ring that targeted more than 75 public officials, four religious institutions, and multiple journalists in a nationwide threat spree.
