I recently coordinated a wedding where the DJ used this simple game to get everyone on the dance floor.

Guests were invited up based on how long they had known the couple.

2 years? Come on up.

5 years? Join them.

10+ years? Your turn.

Before long, the entire room was together on the dance floor.

What made this so special was seeing the couple’s community come to life. Each group represented a different chapter of their story, and guests were able to join the celebration naturally without feeling put on the spot.

It also created such a meaningful moment to recognize the people who have been part of their journey through the years.

As a bonus, this gives your vendor team a chance to get creative. Your DJ can choose songs for each group, while your photographer and videographer capture every chapter of your story as it joins the dance floor.
